September 2011 – Stena Line will be launcing a brand new ferry route on November 21st 2011 between Belfast and Cairnryan. This route will be served by two brand new ships, Superfast VII and Superfast VIII, the biggest ever ferries between Northern Ireland and Scotland. This will mean that the service between Belfast and Stanraer will cease on November 20th 2011.

March 2010 – Shorter crossing times and increased peak season frequencies between the United Kingdom and Ireland are being promised by Stena Line. They have deployed the 520 passenger Stena Express Fastcraft on the Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire route, which has been upgraded following a £2 million refit. The journey now takes 110 minutes. This vessel complements the superferries, Stena Nordica and Stena Adventurer, on the Holyhead to Dublin Port route, offering customers a great range of travel options with up to six round trips daily.

January 2010 – Ferry changes. The large fast ferry, HSS Stena Explorer, will run daily only during summer months and a smaller fast sferry service will be used in the winter months in 2010.
